From 31 October, the GridSmart device will stop remotely managing your hot water cylinder. Your hot water will continue to work as normal. A technician will contact you within the next 2–3 weeks to book a time to remove the device. Appointments will take up to 60 minutes and will be scheduled during weekdays. You’ll need to be home for the removal. The technician will remove the device, but any insulation added to your cylinder or pipes will remain – helping your hot water cylinder stay efficient.
